CMJ and Mediabase reports show that WKNC-Raleigh, KFAI-Minneapolis, KJHK-Lawrence and WLFR-Pomona have all put “A Madness Within” on their Top 10 Playlist. The band Sacred Dawn has also remained on the CMJ Top 50 for over 8 weeks now and continue to remain high on the charts. This has been a great year for the band “Sacred Dawn” as they continue to promote their sophomore release “A Madness Within” through their new label Dark Star Records. The much anticipated world premiere screening of the vampire horror film Jezebeth, will be held at the historic Portage Theater in Chicago, on Sunday, June 5, 2011. This historic theater can seat up to 1,400 people and has a giant screen that will bring the demon Jezebeth to you in a larger than life presentation. The Portage Theater was also one of the settings for Johnny Depp’s movie Public Enemies. The screening will officially kick off the Jezebeth film franchise, including the Jezebeth cable series pilot filming this summer. SGL Entertainment and Satania 6 Films in association with Dark Star Records have recently signed a six figure multi picture movie deal with The Phoenix Group. This worldwide deal includes foreign and domestic rights to Jezebeth, Jezebeth II, Jezebeth III, the Jezebeth cable series pilot and more. The future looks bright for the Jezebeth filmmakers, cast and crew. And, this will be the first public screening of this soon to be cult classic horror film. Chicago’s Bloodstream Parade had released their debut album “The Apocalypse In Retrospect” via Dark Star Records in September of 2009. Since that time and beyond the band has performed with such great acts as: Sworn Enemy, A Life Once Lost, Full Blown Chaos, Otep, Obituary, Unearth, Hatebreed, Cannibal Corpse, and the almighty Anthrax. 
We are pleased to announce that the the 80s Hard Rock/Metal band “Ript” has inked a deal with Dark Star Records. Hailing from Rockford Illinois the home of Cheap Trick, these bad boys of Rock tore it up in the late 80’s and early 90’s with songs like This Is Your Brain On Rock-N-Roll and the amped up version of Elvis Presley’s Suspicious Minds. The band released their self titled full length album in 1992 that included the love ballad “Nicole” and ten other fan favorites. The album sold over 15,000 copies and the band was headed for the big time. But before the band could get to the next level the ride was over. With one of the better albums of the last decade just sitting on a shelf, it would only be a matter of time before someone would re-release this Hard Rock Anthem. 
Now with a special worldwide digital release through IODA/SONY via Dark Star Records the band and their album will once again see the the light of day. And this is great news for Hard Rock and 80’s Metal Fans from around the world. “Ript” is available now at digital retailers everywhere including iTunes.
