Here is the full album review in english:

The War We RageSometimes I do wonder why there are bands that already potter forever and three days in the metal business, but here in old Europe, we know it is not really. Today it is a band from St. Louis / Missouri, what with “The War We Rage” the latest and most recent sixth output (not miteingerechnet the variety of demos and ep’s which have been thrown on the market) presents to us and this is likely especially for the Power / Thrash Metal fans should this time be a journey in which you absolutely discovered something new from the land of opportunity for his turntable what. Indulge the line which the guys from Missouri is more of the veteran broadside. Quite the team often reminds me of a mix of Metal Church (To Mike Howe, as well as David Wayne Times RIP) and Vicious Rumors. Whoever thinks that he is nothing like the new well to a certain degree be right, but the power machinery roars so at full throttle, so you really just sit there for joy and to the sound suddenly completely mitbangt. Thus, one may speak of a not to be despised contagion, and especially those who are hold of the bands mentioned here are in a non-ending ending break out rapture. The chemistry is right and the whole set on just the front man of one better, which roars skillfully as a mixture of David Wayne and Mike Howe into the microphone. One moves rhythmically as mentioned on solid, well-known paths, but the songs have not been through this before, but have a good spirit, which one, although it has many similarities to the aforementioned formations, has reacted with a good dose of innovation. Thus, it exudes a lot of spirit from the early days of metal, but it does not at any time simply stale. Refreshing wind power metal thus from the States? Absolutely and here we are just really wonder why these guys have not been used much foothold here. Would have all been different and would probably share with bands like Iced Earth and Co. to top spot. Thus unfortunately still here an underground tip, this should probably be changed, however, and here the disciples Power Metal / inside were called here to show their support.

Conclusion: Better may not sound like a blend of power and thrash elements well. Good old school factor, which have been enriched but with a lot of fresh blood. Friends of Iced Earth, Metal Church and Vicious Rumors Album necessarily have to check, that the end result is certainly Rundling the player does not leave so quickly.

We are pleased to announce that Dark Star Records artists Conquest, Two Ton Anvil, Low Twelve and Bloody Mary have been confirmed for Indianapolis Metal Fest 2013. The two day US metal festival will take place in the Circle City on September 20th and 21st, 2013. The event will feature more than 50 bands playing on three different stages, including one all-ages stage. According to festival founder, Rob Mason, the festival will consist of top underground metal bands with some well respected headliners playing each night. The price of the tickets will be fairly low as well as the price of food and drinks but yet promises to deliver the finest in underground metal. While Indianapolis Metal Fest is supported, in part, by corporate sponsors, those relationships have never dictated the event’s underground sensibilities. Says Mason, “Metal is as much a lifestyle as it is a style of music, and Indianapolis Metal Fest is about more than just the music. It’s also about fellowshipping with like-minded individuals – like a family reunion for Metal Heads.” Dark Star Records was a sponsor for the last Indianapolis Metal Fest and this year Jeffrey A Swanson and Lloyd Freeze have selected four of the labels finest artists: Conquest, Two Ton Anvil, Low Twelve and the All Girl Teenage Metal Band Bloody Mary.

Indianapolis Metal Fest 3 is sponsored by Sam Ash Music, Roaring Lion Energy Drink, Halo Custom Guitars, Dark Star Records, In-tune Custom Guitar Picks, and Abercrombie Ink.

Shooting Hemlock Releases Sophomore Album “Color Spackled Empty” Via Dark Star Records and Sony Entertainment

Dark Star Records is pleased to announce that the Sophomore album from Supergroup Shooting Hemlock “Color Spackled Empty” has just been released digitally worldwide via Dark Star Records and Sony Entertainment. Shooting Hemlock Was the brainchild of manager Brad Keene Who had worked with guitar player Joe Stump (Boston Mass.) on his solo projects. Brad wanted to put together a band comprised of members from different regions of the country, and with the addition of Jeff Tortora (Blue Man Group) and Jimmy Puma (Syracuse N, Y.,) Brad had the monster rhythm section he had been searching for. Both Jeff and Jim were playing with Joey Belladonna from Anthrax at that time, Brad then set his sights on a lead vocalist to fill the last remaining slot in the line up, enter Brian Troch (Chicago IL.), who just had left the Band Cyclone Temple. What ensued was a mixture of styles and influences that made a very different but awesome sound. The band wrote all their material via mail and e-mail and flew into one central location (Boston) to rehearse, do pre production work and record the actual tracks, Brian would eventually move to Boston and the project for “two albums” was finished. After many years in the making, Dark Star Records and Sony Music released the first of two albums “Big Green Monster” landing them at #30 on the CMJ charts. Now, a year later we bring you “Color Spackled Empty”. Shooting Hemlock’s new sophomore album is now available at hundreds of online digital retailers worldwide including itunes.

Shooting Hemlock is: Brian Troch (Vocals), Joe Stump (Guitars), Jeff Tortora (Drums), Jimmy Puma (Bass)
