We are pleased to announce that Dark Star Records and Sony Music Entertainment have just released the new music video for the song NOT HUMAN by the band SLAVE DRIVER. The song was also featured in The Day of the Dead, a horror film Written, Directed and Produced by Ricardo Islas. The bands original lineup featured Jeff Swan, John Babila and Bill Gingrich. The song Not Human is featured on the Resurrection in Black Album. For this Album the Musicians included Jeff Swan, Blair Lehman, Phil Di Maso and Bill Gingrich. Their Classic CD “JUDGEMENT DAY” released in 1998 kicked off the bands career. The track L.A.’s Burning was included in the Sci-fi Thriller “CARNIVORE”, and is also on the films Original Motion Picture Soundtrack out on Dark Star Records and Sony Music Entertainment as of August 20, 2002. The soundtrack includes: L.A. Guns, Holland, Nitro, Madison Rhoades and more. Carnivore the movie is now being distributed in the USA by 20th CENTURY FOX. To promote the Movie and the Soundtrack, Maderfilm and Dark Star Records shot a video for the song “Mother Mary” performed by Slave Driver and starring “Catherine Chiarelli” of Temptation Island 2 and “Amiee Bravo” from the movie Jigsaw. After only 3 weeks the video had risen to the number 10 position on the National CVC charts and became the 10th most played video in the Nation. And now more than 10 years later, the band resurrected from the ashes, returns with the brand new music video “NOT HUMAN”
RESURRECTION IN BLACK / SLAVE DRIVER: The Heaviest Album to date from Jeff Swan and Slave Driver. This would be the last release from the heavy metal icons known as Slave Driver. Jeff Swan and the band pushed the envelope all the way to the edge with this dark and powerful 3 song EP. Before the band would break up “Slave Driver” would perform in front of a crowd of thousands at the Milwaukee Metalfest XVII.
We are pleased to announce that “Cosmic Fury” the new Supergroup featuring Matt Mercado “Mindbomb” has inked a deal with Dark Star Records. Cosmic Fury has a history. Maybe not compared to the 13.77 billion years that the universe has been around, but the members of this Chicago power quartet have been writing, performing, rehearsing and recording for several decades and the supergroup label is definitely well applied here. The band features former members of Daisy Chain, Mindbomb, Bunker Hill, Pivot Man, Supermercado, Roller and Zoetrope. Band leader and singer, Matt Mercado and bassist, Danny Vega, played together in the 90s band Mindbomb. Mindbomb signed to Mercury Records which gave Mercado and Vega the chance to tour around the world with rock gods like KISS, Rob Halford, Jackyl and Mötley Crüe. Mindbomb songs were also featured in two major motion pictures: Kalifornia starring Brad Pitt and Cliffhanger starring Sylvester Stallone. After Mindbomb, Vega went on to play with drummer, Frank Iffland, in the popular local outfit, Bunker Hill, while Mercado launched Supermercado with guitarist and Zoetrope alumnus, Michael Ray Garret. That band’s single “Ditch Kitty” was featured on the Gold selling soundtrack for “FlatOut: Ultimate Carnage,” the demolition racing game released for the Xbox 360. The band will be releasing their 6 song debut Album on the Dark Star Records Label in Association with Sony Music Entertainment. The Album was produced by Matt Mercado at Sonic Palace Studios and mastered by Roger Lian who has worked with Mushroomhead, Slayer, Overkill, Stained and The White Stripes. Look for the Album titled “Cyber Dust” to be available Worldwide in the Fall of 2013 along with some “Out of this World” music videos.
The new “Conquest” album “The War We Rage” is now available Worldwide. Their sophomore album is produced by Derrick Brumley and engineered by Adam Long who also worked on their well received debut album “End of Days”. The album also features a remake of the popular Charlie Daniels song “Long Haired Country Boy” which you can hear in this 23 minute streaming sample of the entire album.

Hailing from Rockford Illinois the home of Cheap Trick, these bad boys of Rock tore it up in the late 80’s and early 90’s with songs like This Is Your Brain On Rock-N-Roll and the amped up version of Elvis Presley’s Suspicious Minds. The band released their self titled full length album in 1992 that included the love ballad “Nicole” and ten other fan favorites. The album sold over 15,000 copies.
